NetProbe — Privacy Policy

Overview

NetProbe ("the App") is a network engineering toolkit developed for IT professionals and network engineers. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

Data we collect

NetProbe is designed to operate entirely on your local machine. The App:

• Does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information
• Does not send any data to external servers
• Does not use analytics, tracking, or telemetry
• Does not use cookies or advertising identifiers
• Does not access your files, contacts, or browsing history

Network operations

NetProbe performs network operations such as ping, traceroute, DNS lookups, port scanning, and ARP table queries. All of these operations are performed locally from your device to the target network addresses you specify. No network scan data is transmitted to us or any third party.

Data stored locally

The App stores the following data only on your local device:

• Host notes: Text notes you type for specific IP addresses, saved in a local JSON file
• License status: Whether the Free or Pro version is active, saved locally
• Usage counters: Daily tool usage counts for the Free tier, saved locally
• Debug log: A diagnostic log file overwritten each session, stored locally

None of this data leaves your device. You can delete all locally stored data by removing the NetProbe folder from your AppData directory.

Third-party services

NetProbe does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The only third-party interaction is with the Microsoft Store for app distribution and license management, which is governed by Microsoft's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

NetProbe is a professional networking tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
